Launch Your Aviation Career

Aviation mechanics diagnose, repair and maintain aircraft engines, landing gear and electrical systems. They typically work for airlines, repair stations and manufacturers, with average salaries often exceeding $75,000.

Program Enrollment

We no longer employ the priority registration process previously associated with the AMT program. All prospective AMT students who wish to enroll must (1) be admitted to CGCC (apply to CGGC), (2) have completed all prerequisites and (3) submit an enrollment request form before they are eligible to register for AMT classes.
Registration into CGCC AMT classes is limited due to capacity restrictions. Only 50 students per semester will be admitted - 25 in both the morning and afternoon cohorts.

Enroll in CGCC’s Aircraft Maintenance Technology Program

Our high-demand Aircraft Maintenance Technology (AMT) program requires submitting an enrollment request form prior to registering for the first semester. Due to the number of credit hours required to enroll in the AMT program, new students are not able to self-enroll in courses; they must complete the enrollment form to register.

Important Notes

The enrollment request form opens at 12:01 a.m. on Monday, March 23.

Students will need to login with their MEID and password to complete the form.

Available spots are filled on a first-come, first-served basis.

Students will be notified of their course enrollment status via their Maricopa email.
