A hand-carried official transcript cannot be accepted for an official evaluation.
Upon admission to CGCC a
student may have course work from another post-secondary institution evaluated
for transfer credit. To be eligible for evaluation, course work must appear on
an official transcript from the institution that offered the course work.
Admissions and Records Office will complete a course-by-course evaluation for
all submitted transcripts upon student request. The award of transfer credit
shall not express or imply that all transfer credit will be fully applicable
toward all Maricopa associate’s degree and certificate requirements.

and certificate programs. Transfer credit that may be applied to meet
associate’s degree and certificate requirements at a Maricopa college is not
necessarily transferable to other colleges and universities.
- Credits from foreign institutions will be reviewed for acceptance. It is
the student’s responsibility to have all transcripts translated into English
and evaluated by an international student evaluation service before submitting
them to the college.
- Generally, the Maricopa Community Colleges will not award credit for
courses completed at institutions not regionally accredited.
