Q - Why do I owe out of state fees? I have lived in Arizona all my life.
Arizona state law requires a student document proof of lawful presence in the United States to be considered for in-state tuition. Until you document lawful presence to the college, we are required to charge out-of-state tuition prices. Acceptable documents include a birth certificate, an Arizona driver license or ID card issued after 1996, and official immigration papers. Upon receipt of your documents, your residency status will be reviewed. Students must meet all residency requirements to qualify for in-state tuition. Students may be required to submit additional documents.
Please contact Admissions and Records at 480-732-7320.
