​What is Service-Learning?

Service-Learning combines academic instruction with meaningful service in the larger community.
  • Learning - Intentional connection to curriculum
  • Service - Meeting community-determined needs at Local, National and/or Global levels
  • Reflection - Connecting service and learning experiences to gain deeper understanding
  • Assessment - Evaluate the learning
  • Celebration - Recognize the contribution to the community

The Service-Learning Faculty Awards & Recognition is seeking to recognize faculty who have supported students, our community, and our campus by integrating service-learning into their courses and/or supporting the comprehensive efforts of our Service-Learning Program.
