 Athletic Training

Athletic Trainers (ATC’s) are allied health care professionals who specialize in the prevention, emergency care, assessment, treatment and rehabilitation of athletic injuries.  ATC’s are an integral member of a team of medical professionals including, but not limited to, orthopedic surgeons, cardiologist, neurologists and physical therapists.  Candidates must graduate with a bachelor degree from an athletic training program accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Athletic Training Education (CAATE).  Athletic Trainers are certified by the National Athletic Trainers’ Association and, in Arizona, licensed by the state to practice.
