Accounting, Banking, and Finance
The success of small and large businesses relies heavily on the expertise of finance and accounting professionals — they play an important role in tracking businesses' income and expenses and applying current finance and accounting industry practices, principles, laws, and security to evaluate the performance of businesses and make informed financial decisions to help prepare businesses to achieve long-term business and financial goals.
The Accounting, Banking, and Finance program will teach you the necessary skills to help get your foot in the door in a variety of accounting or finance career paths, including accounting in the public, private, and governmental sectors, forensic accounting, or as a financial analyst or financial manager.

CGCC Accounting
At CGCC you can complete your Accounting Degree or Certificate online or in-person. We offer classes during the day and in the evening. We offer more sections of the core accounting courses than any other community college in the metro area. Our instructors are highly qualified with many of them holding advanced degrees and/or industry certifications. Our instructors are all experienced accountants having worked in public accounting and/or industry. CGCC works closely with transfer universities. You can meet with advisors from the universities right on the CGCC campus. CGCC also has a chapter of the Student Organization, Collegiate DECA. As a member, you can compete in Accounting Cases, network with Accounting Professionals and tour Accounting Firms such as PwC, E&Y, KPMG and Deloitte.
