As artificial intelligence (AI) technology rapidly accelerates with new tools, technology, and applications, the demand for workforce training also increases. To support the driving demand for AI technology, Intel and Maricopa Community Colleges have teamed up to create Arizona’s first AI certificate and degree program. Efforts for the development and delivery of the AI program have been supported by the Arizona Commerce Authority (ACA), Maricopa Workforce, Economic Development, and Intel.
The AI program curriculum focuses on AI (including AI for business solutions and other applications), natural language processing, computer vision, computer programming (Python), machine learning, math, engineering, and statistics. It also spotlights building machine learning models that can predict, make decisions, and enhance human capabilities.
