When you look around, do you see the world through the eyes of an artist and envision dramatic scenes and fantastic images that you must capture? If so, photography may be your true calling.
Our Photography program covers the artistic, technical, and business side of the art form. You’ll learn from established photographers who’ll teach you techniques, as well as composition and design, to effectively communicate ideas and information to a variety of audiences for both artistic and commercial purposes.
You’ll learn about specialized camera and equipment operation and maintenance, along with applications for commercial and industrial needs. The program offers a wide range of digital and traditional photography classes. You’ll develop an understanding of exposure principles, camera operations and functions, digital photographic materials, film-based strategies, studio lighting, and the basics of running a freelance photography business.
Whether you seek to become a skilled artist, hope to work as a freelance, wedding, or commercial photographer, or plan to be a photography editor, assistant, or photo lab technician, take the first step in your journey today.
Students at any Maricopa Community College may need to complete courses at more than one of our colleges.
