Sometimes, physically getting to classes can be a student’s biggest challenge. Here you will find some local resources to help you overcome this hurdle and get you to campus and beyond.

Valley Metro Transit Options

Discounted transit vouchers are offered to students and employees though Student Life & Leadership. These subsidies, funded by MCCCD (Maricopa County Community Colleges), are available on first-come, first-served basis. 

  • Transit vouchers can be redeemed for monthly passes at Valley Metro, available through the CGCC Bookstore
  • For information on routes, fares, and access to the Transit Trip Planner, please visit the Valley Metro website at valleymetro.org

  • Students enrolled in 6+ credit hours 
  • Full-time employees 
  • Part-time employees working 25+ hours

*Transit passes are available for purchase at the CGC Bookstore.

City of Chandler

The City of Chandler is working to make sure community members can get around easily and at an affordable price. Services available include:

  • Chandler Flex –  the city’s on-demand transportation service that can be ordered by phone call or in the app.
  • Lyft: First Mile, Last Mile Program this innovative partnership with Lyft offers those traveling to or from South Chandler up to a 50% discount on trips to and from designated bus stops.

Additional Accessible Transportation Services

  • Valley Metro Paratransit (ADA) – Provides shared-ride service for individuals whose disabilities prevent them from using regular bus or light rail services. 
  • Ride Choice Program – Offers flexible transportation options, including ride-hailing services, for eligible ADA paratransit riders.
