Note: A hand-carried official transcript cannot be accepted for an official evaluation.
Submit a request for prior credit evaluation so that we can start the process. The first step is to complete a Transcript Evaluation Request Form. A few points to note:
- Awarding transfer credit at CGCC does not express or imply that it will be fully applicable to all Maricopa Community Colleges.
- We may consider the age of credit when determining transferability. Credit we accept at CGCC may not necessarily be accepted at other colleges and universities. Learn more about transfer partnerships.
- International Institutions: All transcripts must be translated into English and evaluated by an approved international credential evaluation service before submitting to CGCC. Generally, credits are not awarded for courses completed at institutions not regionally accredited.
Meet with an advisor to discuss degree requirements and learn how the evaluation results affect degrees or pathways.
Providing an academic advisor with a copy of unofficial transcripts (high school, prior college, CLEP, AP, SAT, ACT or placement test scores) will help determine your placement for your first semester.
