Aircraft Maintenance Technology

Program Overview

Aviation mechanics play a critical role in maintaining aircraft safety standards and ensuring the safety of passengers in the sky. And with the increasing presence of drones, the demand for aviation mechanics and techs that are skilled in equipment operation and maintenance, troubleshooting and repair, and relevant problem-solving skills is now greater than ever.

The Aircraft Maintenance Technology program will prepare you for a career in aircraft structural manufacturing and maintenance with the potential to work in the general, corporate, commercial, or military sectors. This program offers a comprehensive education in the study of fixed-wing and rotor aircraft, structural and powerplant manufacturing and maintenance, and foundational skills in UAS mission planning, applications, data analytics, and project management using UAS platforms. Upon successful completion of this program, you will be able to apply for relevant Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) written, oral, and practical exams.
