If the makeup of the earth and its internal processes captivate you, consider a career in the geological sciences. Our Geology program will provide you with insights into the ancient history of the planet, its inner workings, and the fascinating movement of its tectonic plates that continue to shape the world and impact modern life through its seismic activity. Expert instructors will reveal how different types of rocks and geological formations were created and more. You’ll learn how to interpret the origin, distribution, and uses of geological resources, and synthesize field data and spatial relationships to create geologic maps and cross-sections. You’ll also investigate the causes and impacts of natural hazards and learn how to interpret scientific data.
Earning a bachelor’s degree after completing our Geology program can lead to employment as a research lab or field technician in environmental geology, mining, petroleum exploration, geological engineering, forestry, conservation, and hydrology. With a graduate degree, you could also become a secondary school teacher, university professor, geologic consultant, seismologist, volcanologist, paleontologist, or geologist in a variety of areas.
Start your journey in our Geology program and uncover new career possibilities. It’s time to make it happen.
