Associate in Applied Science (AAS)

An AAS degree is a great option if you want to develop a deeper level of technical expertise in a specific career field. AAS programs combine specialized career and technical coursework with general education classes to provide a well-rounded education and prepare you for employment in your chosen industry.

Choose an AAS if you want to:

  • Build advanced technical skills in your career field
  • Prepare for employment in a specialized profession
  • Earn an associate degree while completing career-focused coursework

Certificate of Completion (CCL)

A Certificate of Completion provides focused education and training in a specific career or technical area. CCL programs generally require fewer credit hours than an AAS and can be a great way to quickly build skills for a new career, strengthen your existing skill set, or explore a new field.

Choose a CCL if you want to:

  • Gain focused, career-specific skills
  • Prepare for employment in a particular industry
  • Build your skills in less time than a full associate degree
