About Bettina Celis
Bettina Celis serves as the Vice President of Student Affairs at Chandler-Gilbert Community College. In this role, she provides leadership for the college’s Student Affairs division and across the MCCCD system on academic and student initiatives, and leads strategic partnerships that strengthen student opportunity, outcomes, and post-completion success.
A native of Arizona, Bettina brings over 28 years of experience in higher education, having served in several leadership roles across MCCCD in Academic Affairs, Student Affairs, and Information Technology; most recently as the Associate Vice Chancellor for Academic & Student Affairs. Beyond her role at the college, she is a proud Aspen Rising Presidents Fellow, and serves on several local and national boards, including the National Community College Hispanic Council/Concilio Board of Directors, HERDI Innovate, and the AACC Commission on Institutional Infrastructure and Transformation.
As a first-generation college student and first generation professional, she understands first hand the transformative power of education and mentorship. She is a champion for students, driven by a focus on improving institutional outcomes, academic excellence, and systemic change rooted in equity.
