Important Financial Aid Dates
Applying for financial aid? Below are the dates you’ll need to know. If you don’t meet the deadlines, that may result in you having to pay your tuition and fees out of pocket.
All To Do List items related to your financial aid eligibility must be submitted by your last day of attendance for the academic year, with the exception of verification related To Do List items, which must be processed before the deadline published in the Federal Registrar.
Summer 2024

| Book Advances | Book advances will be issued no earlier than ten days before the start date of the term; or no more than ten days before the first day of class for late start classes. If you're receiving Pell Grant funds in excess of your tuition and fees, you can receive some of your expected refund before classes begin. You can use this money to help pay for books. |
| May 28, 2024 | Get off to a great start on your first day of classes! |
| May 30, 2024 | You must have registered for all classes and have been awarded financial aid by this date at 5 PM in order for your Pell Grant to be calculated. You will not be awarded Pell Grant funds for classes you register for after this date. |
| June 5, 2024 | The first round of financial aid disbursement begins this week. Be sure to check your email for notification regarding your funds and how to access them. |
| June 26, 2024 | If you applied for a first-time, first-year, 30-day-delay loan, this is the estimated date when your loan will be applied toward paying your fees for the current term. CGCC will also process any refunds by this date. |
| June 28, 2024 | If you're taking courses at two or more schools and need to ensure you receive the financial aid you're eligible for, submit your Consortium Agreement on time. |
| June 28, 2024 | Last day to submit Satisfactory Academic Progress (SAP) Appeals & Maximum Timeframe Appeals. |
| July 8, 2024 | The second round of financial aid disbursement starts this week. Watch your email for a notification regarding your funds and how to access them. Note: This date is an estimate. You may receive funds earlier or later than this week. |
| July 12, 2024 | Last day to submit Academic Plan or Academic Plan Addendums. |
| August 1, 2024 | Congratulations, you made it to the last day of class! |
